Cathedral School, we are delighted to announce the publication of A Brilliant Foundation for Life.
Edited by Lydia Darbyshire, this book tells the story of the school and its journey. It focuses especially on the route mapped out by Preb. A.F. Ritchie, Frank Commings, Alan Quilter, John Baxter and Elizabeth Cairncross.
A Brilliant Foundation for Life is presented in a vivid, entertaining style. Richly illustrated with specially commissioned full-colour photography and rare archive images, the book also include first-hand accounts, observations and experiences from generations past and present, including current pupils.
