St Peter’s School can trace its association with the city of York for well over a millennium to a time when York was famous as Europe’s foremost centre of learning and scholarship. Over Ancient Ways is not a history as such but will tell the story in words and pictures not only of the ancient traditions of the school but also of the eventful century of school life on the present campus.
The many memories, anecdotes and human interest stories from past and current Peterites, staff, governors and parents, interweaved with both archive and contemporary images, will result in a richly illustrated book, which will be a true portrait of the many different facets of St Peter’s School, York.
