Third Millennium presents paper at the Museums Association Conference
20 October 2006
Justin Tunstall, Managing Director, TMI, discusses the subject of developing a heritage-based publishing programme, at the annual Museums Association Conference, the largest museum, gallery and heritage event in the UK, which this year is being held at the Bournemouth International Centre (23-25 October).
Based on TMI’s extensive international experience of publishing guidebooks, exhibition catalogues, museum and gallery collections, as well as interpretation material, Tunstall explores the many opportunities for creating publishing materials which fully engage with visitors.
The conference, which is opened by Tessa Jowell, MP, Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, includes over 1,350 delegates and speakers from a variety of organisations such as the National Portrait Gallery, V & A, Tank Museum, National Maritime Museum, the Heritage Lottery Fund, Tate, National Trust, Imperial War Museum and the British Museum.
TMI will also be displaying its full range of publications at the accompanying exhibition (stand number one).
